Hello!
We already knew that sleep deprivation can increase hunger, promote cravings and weaken will-power. But what if you tough it out and don’t give in to that urge to splurge?
You can STILL gain weight! A surprising new study compared women who sleep 6 or fewer hours per night to those who sleep 7 or more. Not only did the low-sleepers gain a lot more weight over time, but they were eating less!
It appears as if metabolism, hormones or other factors influenced by sleep can make all the difference to your weight, even if you are eating right.
So now you can feel just as virtuous for going to bed as you do going to the gym. 🙂
Have a good week!
Jill
