The Convenient Ingredient

Hello!

By now you know that convenience matters more than almost anything else, when it comes to nutrition, so what’s the magic ingredient that does it all? Salsa!

Salsa boosts your metabolism and immune system (especially against cold and flu), fights cancer and premature aging, adds flavor, AND makes the following super-easy recipes:

  1. Shrimp Ceviche.
    Buy high-quality pre-made salsa (like Whole Foods) and mix it with tiny cooked shrimp. Serve with baked tortilla chips, on a bed of lettuce or scoop it up with endive spears.

  2. Fish Veracruz.
    Put salsa on any white fish and bake at 400 until opaque all the way through (about 10 minutes per inch of thickness.)

  3. Black Bean Soup.
    Black beans, salsa and bouillon pureed.

  4. Celery sticks and salsa.
    A free food!

  5. Plus, add it to eggs, salads, veggies, and almost anything else.

If you buy salsa in a jar, just read the ingredients and make sure it’s made out of tomatoes, onions and spices, without too much salt and without high fructose corn syrup.
