Hello!
How about a game where the prize is health, beauty and longevity? This is it.
Every day new studies show that eating different plant-based foods improves your health in a thousand different ways. Whether your priority is energy, weight loss, cancer prevention, cholesterol or blood sugar control, beauty, longevity, brain health or anything else, you’ll find the best tool is eating a variety of plants:
- Veggies
- Fruits
- Nuts and Seeds and Plant Oils (in small quantities, as they are calorie-dense)
- Beans. Lentils and Legumes
- Herbs and Spices
- Whole Grains (again, watch the serving size if you have a low metabolism)
- Tea–black, green, red, white, blue and herbal
…and any other edible plants you can think of. So here’s your challenge:
How many different plants can you cram into every snack or meal? This is a contest! So far I’m winning, by putting 3 different spices and two different fruits in my oatmeal this morning, and putting lemon and mint in my tea. You can out-do me! Send me your winning plant-food-fest ideas and let’s enjoy knowing that we’re improving ourselves in ten different ways with each bite.
